When AI algorithms are deployed on a device, they are vulnerable to reverse-engineering, which is the possibility to locate, extract and copy the AI algorithm.
This attack is way easier than training a AI algorithm; a competitor can access many years of R&D efforts in a company in a couple of minutes, and reuse the model for their own purposes.
Protecting the algorithmes parameters does not only protect intellectual property and competitive edge, it also protects the algorithm from more advanced attacks. It makes harder for an attacker to retrieve potentially sensitive data from the training set, or to craft data to deceive the model (eg, to make a car think that a speed limit sign is a stop sign).

EP Tender develops an external battery for electric cars that allows charging while driving. This external battery is robotised, shared and rented on demand to increase the autonomy of an electric vehicle by 300km at highway speed. An empty battery can be exchanged in 2 minutes for a fully charged one while driving. An affordable electric vehicle with a small environmental footprint thanks to a moderate battery size is thus able to travel easily.
EP Tender is also developing battery-based services such as grid energy storage, zero-emission energy supply (generator) and mobile charging of electric vehicles and construction equipment.
Final question: do you have something recent that you would like to highlight ?
We are currently looking for an investor (1-2 M€). We already have secured 3-4M€ and need a last investor to close the round. We plan to make a field test on A10 highway with Vinci Autoroutes, Stellantis and Total Energies to validate the user experience before the commercialization.

Imagine you're playing a super cool video game called Tetris, where you have to fit different shaped blocks together as they fall down the screen. The goal is to make full lines without leaving any gaps, right? Now, let's say there's a super advanced version of this game, called Cargo Tetris, but it's not just on a screen—it's in real life, with real airplanes!
In Cargo Tetris, played by a company called Quantum-South, the blocks are all sorts of packages and goods that need to be loaded into the airplane's belly—kind of like its backpack. These packages come in all shapes and sizes, just like Tetris blocks, but there's a catch: they also have different weights and some are more important to deliver quickly than others.
Now, Quantum-South has a magic tool (let's call it a superpower) that helps them see the best way to fit all these packages together. This superpower is called quantum computing. It's like having a super-brain that can think of millions of ways to fit the packages into the airplane's belly really fast, way faster than a regular computer or a human brain could!
This magic tool makes sure that the airplane can carry as many packages as possible (that's like scoring lots of points in Tetris), but it also makes sure the airplane is balanced and safe to fly. Plus, it helps figure out which packages should go together to make sure the most important ones get delivered first. So, playing Cargo Tetris with quantum computing is how Quantum-South helps airplanes carry more stuff, save fuel, and make sure everyone gets their packages on time. It's like being the champion of Tetris, but for real airplanes and real packages!

We have been selected as finalists in the Hello Tomorrow Global Challenge in the aerospace sector.
Our company was selected as a finalist in the Airbus Quantum Computing Challenge of 2019 and that's where everything started.
We recently announced the publication of our APSO (Automatic Package Selection and Ordering) API on International Air Transportation Association’s (IATA) Open API Hub. Our solution for air cargo optimization is now available for testing through the industry’s open data environment.
We showcased our cargo optimization solutions at Air Cargo Tech Summit in Brussels last September, after completing successful proof of concetps with IAG Cargo in Europe and with Amerijet International in the United States.
Last year we launched the second version of our solution and completed the Starburst SCALE acceleration program in Los Angeles, UCLA. We launched our fundraising campaign after two successful grants from ANII (National Agency of Innovation and Research from Uruguay) and funding from family and friends. Quantum-South emerged as a pioneer in Latin America in quantum computing, being the first company to join the IBM Q Network in the continent. IoT Tribe has been the initial acceleration program that shaped our company from Europe. R3i Ventures has been a key support from Luxembourg.
